Universal Pre-K

Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) in HF-L

UPK is a New York State funded program specifically designed for 4-year-olds. Each year Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School district invites eligible children who reside in the district to apply.

Your child is eligible for UPK for the following school year if they will be 4 years old on or before December 1. This program follows the Common Core State Standards for Preschool. You can read about these standards on the New York State Education website www.nysed.gov.

All of the UPK teachers are New York State certified and are also mentored by Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School district kindergarten teachers. There are several workshops for the UPK teachers throughout the school year.
